Product Review: Tanda Zap/ Prom Tips

Hey Ladies!  How has your week been?  Is the weather warming up where your at?  I have been able to wear shorts!

About my Prom:  I had a LOVELY evening!  I did dance the night away, and I loved every minuet of it!!
We went to Johnny Carinos for dinner, then went over to a local hotel which has a pretty fountain, and took pictures of our group.  Then it was on to the ball:)  My jaws literally hurt from smiling so much the next day, as did my feet!  I ended up ditching my heels about five minuets into the dance.  It made it much better.  My advice, put simply, would be:
1. Even if you have closed toe shoes, make sure your toes are done. Because you will probably be taking your shoes off.
2. If you are going out to dinner before hand, bring gum to chew before you get pictures taken of start to dance.
3.Make sure you feel like a million bucks!!  Your night will be much more enjoyable if you feel good about yourself.
4.Try your whole outfit on before the night of!  You don't want things not matching at the last second. Also, try out your make up several times before the night off!! This was a big life saver for me!
5. MAKE SURE YOU BRING A CAMERA!!!! You will not want to miss these pictures!  So make sure your phones batteries is all the way charged.

If you do these things, it will make your night a whole lot less stressful:)  If you have any Prom tips, please comment them. I would love to here them!

Product Review:  Tanda Zap

I got my Tanda Zap on Christmas.  Its quite expensive, and promises great things.  This is my review-

First off, I will say, I had HIGH hopes for this thing! Very high.
I have had my TZ for exactly five months, so I think I qualify to review this product.  I want to cut strait to the chase.

Pros: Size (its quite small)                             Cons: Price ($50)
What it promises to do                               Does not carry out its promises
Reduces swelling and a little bit of redness.  Does not get rid of the zit.
 1,000 uses                                                  Only 1,000 uses

In the end, I would say, the only thing it is good for, is bringing down swelling.  That's it. If you get swollen acne, buy it.  If you don't, its a waist of money.

Hope this helps!

Hey Ladies:)  As prom time is coming up I thought I should share some ideas soon!   My dance is tomorrow night! Whew hew, right?!?  I'm pumped to dance the night away.....:)

For some reason I can't find a picture online of my dress.  Perhaps because its a little bit old,  I got it BRAND NEW at Salvation Army for $8!!  It still had the tags and everything.  It is a $150 City Triangle dress.
It is a floor length green/turquoise silk with sparkly beading around the halter top.  Beautiful.
These are my shoes!

By Touch of Nina $30.00

They have glass heels:)

Doing my make up something like this.
This is how I will be styling my hair!  Curly and pinned to one side.

I will be posting how it goes and some inspiration/suggestions for your prom!

Have fun! I certainly will:)

Today.......and Eyelashes:)

Hey, everyone!  It has been an extremely loooong day for me.  So, I shall keep it short and sweet!

Tonight was performance and it went wonderfully!
EVERYONE stopped me and told me I did great and I got a few "Where have you been hiding that voice?!?"  I have been extremely flattered:)

I did my own stage make up (which I think turned out amazing;) I did a medium cat eye with a brown charcoal pencil and curled my lashes and added some sparkly tan shadow. I don't do blush but I did put a berry lip stick on.

Beauty tip for the day!:
I hate wearing mascara and it breaks my normally very long, dark lashes + I don't wear eyeliner but I get asked all the time if I do because of my lashes!  I do them like this-

Take your lash curler and place your hairdryer on top of it for 5 seconds on each side.
Wait till it is not hot enough to burn but still hot.
Open up your eyes and curl your lashes until the curler is cool.
Repeat on other eye.
Put a very small amount of vitamin E oil on your index finger then blink your lashes into the oil (tiny coat!) This will make them appear darker and keep them healthy.
Then take a lash comb and comb through them.
This seems like a lot but it takes me about 3 minuets from start to finish.

OK, I'm gonna go wash my face and then pass out in bed:)
I'm tired but sad its over.....we still have Tuesday though.....but I don't have a solo.

This is the dress we wore, btw.  But it is black.
It had a neon ribbon sash and the same color satin crinoline underneath.
I got purple:) It is so swishy!

Much love:)

Tomorow is the Day

So, I have told you about show choir right? We have been practicing since august, I got the solo I wanted. We have had two dress rehearsals that went awesome, and my fellow performers and I are like family.  Tomorrow  is opening night!  I am so exited! Cross your fingers:)

So, That small little thing up there was just to short and boring so I thought I would include 5 of my favorite beauty tips as well....

1. Use Aloe Vera jell as a face mask!  It moisturizes and helps heals any acne scars.

2.My favorite face mask of all time is a green tea/honey mix- Brew a cup of green tea (I like mint or jasmine) and drink it! It is full of antioxidants!  DO NOT THROW AWAY YOUR TEA BAG!  in a cup rip your tea bag in half and empty contents into the cup then add 1tsp of Honey. Mix and apply to face for 5 minuets. Rinse and your complexion should GLOW!

3.Use lavender oil on healing zits.

4.Use Honey on anything infected. (if a zit is swollen and hurts its infected) It works really well on cuts and such.

5.Put your moisturizer in the freezer for 10 minuets before applying and your face should feel cool, refreshed and clean:)

Now, what color should I paint my nails for tomorrow?......

I will wright about how it gose:)
Love
-Your very exited Starz

The Evelution Of The Worlds "Beauty"

Hello everyone!!! (sorry for my little vacation! I kinda got a little distracted with life;)

This is definitely something to think about and realize ladies!!

I think sometimes we all can get sucked in to the devils lies that tell us we are ugly on the outside and so we start primping more on the outside, and we lose sight that it's what's on the inside that counts. I know that in this day and age looking beautiful on the inside is not something that's taken seriously and people are more worried about their physical appearance.

I always kinda figured the magazine pix were air brushed but not THIS much!!  I thought it would be cool to share!  Hope you enjoy!  Its worth the watch!!

Even after putting about 5 pounds of makeup on, they photo shopped her and made her neck slimmer and taller, made her eyes brighter and bigger, made her lips more plump, made her nose smaller and her hair bigger! Its disgusting!!

I love what it says at the end 'No wonder our perception of beauty is distorted.' It's to true. Hardly anyone can look that great without doing something to themselves to make them look better. She was a totally different women when they were done with her! I wouldn't even call her the same person.  She wasn't HER anymore, she was some kinda photo portrait that SOMEONE created!!

We are all so focused on being beautiful on the outside that we totally forget and we don't see how ugly we are on the inside. I must admit, I get caught up in the worlds lies of being only beautiful on the outside... it's really easy to do.

I'm a teenager, and I know how hard it is to do that - to stay true and be beautiful on the inside when the world is telling you to do drugs and alcohol and to be fake. How 1 Samuel 16:7 puts it - man looks on the outside. We judge people by how they look. Our natural instinct is to think that people who look not "normal" and how everyone else looks, we automatically avoid them and think they're weird. But God doesn't see what we look like on the outside. He doesn't dislike people who look weird. (As a matter of fact, He doesn't dislike anybody he loves us all!.) But He looks on the inside. That's why we need to be beautiful on the inside. If that's the part God (who is King of kings, creator and maker of everything) sees in us, then we want that to be the best part of us, right? After all, He is the one who is going to judge us on judgment day. If we choose Him and decide to be beautiful on the inside,we will be a lot happier and that will shine through which will make us ultimately more beautiful!

1 Samuel 16:7.

"But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart."

Hydrating Yogurt Facial.

HIYA! Today it's a yogurt facial that hydrates, softens your skin, and gently exfoliates.

Ingredients:  1/4 cup plain yogurt, 1 Tablespoon honey.

Directions: Mix the honey and yogurt together.   Apply a thin, even layer with your fingers(freshly washed of course) to a freshly cleansed face.  After 10 minutes, rinse your face with warm water....and enjoy your healthy, baby smooth face!!

Tip: Feel free to apply it under your eyes also to help relieve under-eye bags!

Why this works:  The honey is killing bacteria that might cause acne in the future and also hydrating your skin.  The lactic acid in the yogurt (from the milk) is gently exfoliating and hydrating.

Have a wonderful Sunday!   -STARZ*

Quick egg facial.

Hello everyone!  Today I am going to share a quick D.I.Y.  facial that I do once or twice a month.

Ingredients: 1 egg white,1 Tablespoon lemon juice.
Directions:  Separate the egg white from the yolk.  Put the egg white in a bowl along with the lemon juice and discard the yolk.  Then whip the egg/lemon juice mix until frothy.  Wash and dry your face then dip a soft wash cloth in the mix apply all over your face in circular movements.  Let sit until stiff (usually about 15minuets) rinse well with warm water and pat dry.

The egg will help close your pores (temporarily) and the lemon juice will help kill acne causing bacteria.    This facial is good for oily to medium skin.  WARNING: Do not use this mask more than once a week,it can be very drying and cause peeling, itchiness, and acne breakouts.
